Trauma Surgeon, LA County/USC Medical Center presents a program on the first few days after the Haiti earthquake: LA County and USC created a 9-person volunteer medical response team to assist relief efforts in Haiti. This presentation will describe the team's experience throughout their week in Haiti, providing medical care to hundreds of injured individuals. In addition, this presentation will discuss many of the planning and logistical issues often encountered during humanitarian assistance and disaster relief efforts of this type.
